Document Description
The project is Phase 1 of the City of Oceanside's General Plan Update and includes preparation of two new elements: an Economic Development Element (EDE) and an Energy/Climate Action Element (E-CAP). Policies provided within these elements are intended to provide a framework for updates to other General Plan elements that would help to achieve and implement the sustainability, climate action, and economic goals outlined in the E-CAP and EDE. Additionally, the project includes adoption of a Climate Action Plan (CAP) document that would implement the policies of the E-CAP by providing specific greenhouse gas reduction targets aligned with state and regional goals.
