Document Description
The City of Oceanside is initiating a General Plan Update with the preparation of two new optional General Plan elements, one dealing with economic development and other addressing energy and climate action. The Economic Development Element (EDE) will outline goals and policies intended to grow and diversify the local economy, while the Energy/Climate Action Element (E-CAP) will outline goals and policies intended to reduce the City's greenhouse gas emissions. The goals of policies of both elements will focus on sustainable growth and quality-of-life enhancements that emphasize renewable energy, water conservation, open space preservation, alternative transportation, green industry, and urban forestry.
