Document Description
Reclamation district no. 2028 plans to rehabilitate a portion of the Bacon Island levee system, 4.7 miles in length, to a sustainable Hazard Mitigation Plan standard. The proposed project includes landside and waterside work. Landside work involves raising the levee crown and stabilizing the slope and toe berm. There will be a new all-weather road built along the levee crown. Waterside work involves erosion repair and improving waterside bank protection (rock revetment) for erosion control along most of the project area.
