Document Description
The Orchard Park Connectivity Improvements project proposes transportation, electrical, and other associated off-site utility improvements to support the Orchard Park Graduate Student Housing and Family Housing Redevelopment project. Connectivity Improvements include a new sidewalk along the north side of Blue Ridge Road (formally called Orchard Road), improved bicycle lanes, curb ramp and striping improvements, water main line replacement, and roadway rehabilitation between Orchard Park Circle and La Rue Road. On Orchard Park Drive from Blue Ridge Road to Extension Center Drive and Extension Center Drive to Hutchison drive, connectivity improvements proposed would upgrade transportation facilities to a Class III bikeway, lighting, and close pedestrian network gaps with additional sidewalks. A shared use path will be constructed to connect to existing facilities along Hutchison Drive to Health Science Drive. Offsite electrical connectivity improvements include replacing existing cables and utilizing existing duct banks from Hutchison Drive to La Rue Road. In addition, cables will be replaced as needed within existing duct bank along Orchard Park Drive.
