Document Description
The proposed Harbor Substation consists of two 56 MVA transformers and switchgear distribution system. Two new single story structures will be constructed measuring approximately 180 ft by 50 ft, and a second structure measuring approximately 90 ft by 50 ft. The latter structure will house two transformers. Underground 69 kV and 12 kV transmission and distribution lines will be installed in the ROW at Cerritos Ave, Katella Ave, Haster St, Zeyn St, Disney Way, Harbor Blvd, Clementine St, Anaheim Blvd, Manchester Ave and Ninth St. Subterranean vaults (approximately 8 ft by 20 ft) will be installed at depths of approximately 9 ft below grade on Katella Ave, Zeyn St, Anaheim Blvd, Haster St, Disney Way, Clementine St, and Manchester Ave. The new lines will allow the electrical load to be distributed between a greater number of circuits in the central Anaheim Area, providing improved flexibility for serving electric loads during outages or maintenance activities. The proposed construction schedule for the substation will begin in October 2017, and be completed in March 2019. Construction for the transmission and distribution system begins in November 2018 and is anticipated to be completed by May 2020.
