Document Description
Project is issuance of an amendment governed by Fish and Game Code section 2830 to the County of San Diego’s Subarea Plan under the San Diego County Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP). The County prepared an Environmental Impact Report (EIR), which was certified on June 26, 2019 for the Otay Ranch Village 14 and Planning Areas 16/19 Project and considered the EIR and a March 2020 addendum applicable to the Project prior to the County’s June 3, 2020, approval of the Project. The Project is an amendment to the County of San Diego MSCP Subarea Plan that (1) designates approximately 531.2 acres as hardline preserve, (2) authorizes take of Covered Species and reclassifies approximately 44.5 acres of the Subarea Plan from “Otay Ranch areas where no ‘take permits’ will be authorized” to “take authorized area” to allow for future development, and (3) authorizes take of covered species for approximately 2.2 acres for public facilities located in hardline preserve areas.
