Document Description
Chevron Pipe Line company proposes to replace an approximately 1.2-mile segment of pipeline that traverses an area known as Mallard Farms in Suisun Marsh, north of Honker Bay, in Solano County which, upon recent inspections, has shown anomalies (i.e., minor imperfections of the pipe's walls). Replacing this segment of pipe would eliminate these anomalies and reduce the impacts from future maintenance and repairs in Suisun Marsh. The new segment of pipe would be installed using an intersecting horizontal directional drilling method under the marsh, which would result in fewer impacts to the environment compared to conducting several separate repairs using open trenching in the marsh.
