Downtown Anaheimm Recycled Water Expansion Project
NOE - Notice of Exemption
This is a two-phased project that will replace the use of potable water currently use to irrigate approximately 438,000 square feet (s.f.) of landscaping at Pearson Park in downtown Anaheim Boulevard, and Cypress Street in order to install approximately 2,300 linear feet (l.f.) of recycled water pipeline. The newly installed pipeline will connect to the pipelines of the existing WRDF. Also included in Phase 1 is excavation at the southeast end of Person Park for the installation of an underground 75,000 gallon recycled water storage tank, an irrigation pump, and related hardware. The excavation is to be approximately 40' x 70' or equivalent area to a maximum depth of 16'. Phase 2 consists of the installation of 800 l.f. of pipeline, and an underground 36,000 gallon storage tank at the southwest side of Pearson Park.
This minor alteration to the existing Pearson Park facility is exempt under Class 1, Section 15301(b), and the small new construction of tank and pump station which is not located in any environmentally sensitive area, is therefore exempt under Class 3, Section 15303(dd). The installation of the less than 1 mile of pipeline is statutorily exempt under Section 21080.21.
