The Preliminary Investigation Area (PIA) is a 1.7 mile radius around the Former Exide Facility located in Vernon. The PIA includes properties within the following seven jurisdiction: Cities of Bell, Commerce, Huntington Park, Los Angeles, Maywood, and Vernon and the County of Los Angeles.

Document Description
The project is the DTSC's approval of a Work Plan for the cleanup of properties within a 1.7 mile radius of the Former Exide Facility. It is anticipated that remediation of impacted soils would consist of soil excavation of approx. 18 inches in accessible areas using small construction equipment.
