Document Description
The purpose of the proposed project is to implement a water conservation program that would support long-term drought preparedness strategies that would net immediate benefits. Sonoma and Mendocino counties are facing drought conditions after two consecutive dry years and the driest year on record in 2013. The program focuses on drought-affected areas which historically have been precluded from such conservation programs and water efficiency measures by providing incentives directly to customers. The program focuses on residential and commercial water customers in the most drought vulnerable communities and unincorporated areas of Sonoma County.
