ETWD is proposing to expand the existing Recycled Water Distribution System to allow for delivery of up to 300 acre feet per year of additional tertiary-treated recycled water to existing dedicated irrigation customers within the ETWD service area, which would be supplied by the existing tertiary treatment plant. The proposed project is located in Orange County, within the City of Laguna Woods in the Laguna Woods Village community. The proposed project consists of approx. 5.4 miles of 4-inch-diameter to 10-inch-diameter pipeline within existing roads in residential neighborhoods within Laguna Woods. The proposed project area consists of two locations. The first is northwest of El Toro Road and is generally bounded by Via Carrizo, Monte Hermoso, and Via Buena Vista. The second is north of El Toro Road and Paseo De Valencia west of Avenida De La Carlota.
