Document Description
Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance intended to provide for regulations of land uses involving commercial cultivation of cannabis for medical use. The ordinance regulates the cultivation by licensed operators, in compliance with relevant state and local laws. The fourth phase of the Humboldt county “Medical Marijuana Land Use Ordinance,” the proposed ordinance would regulate an existing land use to help prevent and reduce environmental impacts known to result from unpermitted baseline cultivation operations. The ordinance develops pathways for compliance with new and existing regulations, while providing for review, inspection, and oversight.
