Document Description
The Project is limited to three encroachments. Two encroachments are for water diversions, one
from the Mattole River, and the second from a pond. Water is diverted for domestic use from the Mattole and irrigation
use from the pond. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure.
The single other proposed encroachment is to upgrade an existing pond spillway and embankment. Work for these
encroachments will include excavation of a spillway notch, rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion, and
installation of brush and tree check dams downstream to minimize potential for sediment delivery.
