Document Description
The Project is limited to eighteen encroachments. Thirteen proposed encroachments are to upgrade existing culverts or decommission roads or crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the existing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. Four proposed encroachments are for the decommissioning and/or remediation of stream crossings that have been affected by legacy cultivation activities. These locations shall be restored and remediated or decommissioned entirely. These encroachments will include removal of fencing when present, recreation of historical channels, and armoring throughout as necessary to minimize erosion and sediment transport. The final proposed encroachment is for the removal of diversion infrastructure. This will include removal and backfilling with clean, washed rock.
