Document Description
The project is limited to five (5) encroachments. One encroachment shall upgrade an existing stream crossing with an appropriately designed culvert. Three encroachments shall replace existing dirt ford crossings with armored ford crossings on a disused access-road. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the existing culverts and/or fill, installation of properly designed stream crossing infrastructure, recontouring and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. The fifth encroachment shall decommission a failed onstream reservoir, remove the earthen embankment, and rehabilitate the stream channel. The Permittee shall retain a licensed engineer to prepare a Pond Decommissioning Plan. This plan shall be submitted for CDFW review by December 31, 2022, and no fewer than 90 days prior to implementation. Decommissioning shall include removal of the
embankment and aggraded material down to natural channel substrate, and recontouring of the hillslope to restore original topography/hydrology. Implementation shall occur prior to October 15, 2023.
