Document Description
The project comprises five proposed encroachments. One encroachment shall decommission an existing ford crossing and seasonal road. To hydrologically disconnect the road a water bar shall be installed; to remediate the road approaches nearby downed woody material shall be gathered from upslope and placed by hand on the road surfaces for distance of at least 50 feet on both sides of the crossing. Three proposed encroachments shall upgrade and remediate existing stream crossings. One proposed encroachment shall decommission an existing pond and remediate the hillslope. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the existing culverts and/or fill, installation of appropriate stream crossing infrastructure, recontouring and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
