Document Description
The project is limited to 22 encroachments. Water is diverted for irrigation from 2 ponds and 7 springs. Work for the 2 water diversions will include use, upgrading, and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure and spillway. As notified, the pond exhibits tension cracks along its’ failing embankment with an 8-inch scarp which runs laterally along the feature. CDFW observed erosion scour at the outlet spillway. The 13 other proposed encroachments are to upgrade, maintain, or decommission failing and undersized stream crossings. Work for all of these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing crossings, replacement with new properly sized crossings, backfilling and compaction of fill, rock armoring, and revegetation, as necessary to minimize erosion.
