Document Description
The project is limited to 7 encroachments. One encroachment is for water diversion from unnamed tributaries to County Line Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Three other proposed encroachments are to upgrade or decommission failing and undersized stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing crossings, replacement with new properly sized crossing, backfilling and compaction of fill, or decommissioning of earthen dam crossing and rock armoring or revegetation as necessary to minimize erosion. Work for 3 onstream ponds includes returning the streams to natural conditions by restoring the natural channel and revegetating with native plants. This Agreement relies on the Notification materials and a CDFW site inspection by Environmental Scientist Christine Hahn Vertical and Engineer Katherine Hawken, North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board on May 27, 2021. As a result of the site visit North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board issued a Notice of Violation for the dam at crossing 1. The project work permitted under this Agreement shall remedy the dam at crossing 1.
