The project is limited to 7 encroachments. Two encroachments are for water diversion from unnamed tributaries to Kekawaka Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use and agricultural use. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. The 5 other proposed encroachments are to upgrade undersized stream crossings and realign a watercourse. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, removal of the failing crossings, replacement with new properly sized crossings, backfilling and compaction of fill.
