- The project is limited to 4 encroachments. Encroachment 1 is to replace an existing misaligned and undersized 24-inch culvert with a 36-inch culvert. Encroachment 2 is to install a new 24-inch culvert. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing culvert (for Encroachment 1), installation of new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring the culvert headwall with 3-5 cubic yards of rip rap. Encroachments 3 and 4 are to install new rock fords. Work for these encroachments will include excavating the expected flow area within the crossings to accommodate the 100-year flow and backfilling with appropriately sized, angular rock.
