Document Description
The project is limited to 2 encroachments. One encroachment is for water diversion from an onstream pond for fire and recreational uses only. The pond is on a tributary to Butte Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use. No Small Domestic Use Water Right was located by CDFW. Work for the water diversion and impoundment will include use and maintenance of the dam structures. The earthen dam structure will require work to remedy the existing failure and the installation of a spillway. The other proposed encroachment is to upgrade a failing and undersized stream crossing by installing a bridge. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, removal of the failing crossing, replacement with new properly sized bridge, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
