Document Description
The project is limited to eight encroachments (Table 1). There are three (3) points of diversion including two spring fed onstream ponds and a well. The first encroachment is a point of diversion stated to be the primary source of water for irrigation. Work for these water diversions will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure and placement of instrumentation. The fourth encroachment consists of work on the earthen embankments of both ponds to provide for the installation of bypass structures and two spillways with the inclusion of a crossing at the bottom of the spillway for the lower pond. The four other encroachments are to upgrade failing and undersized stream crossings, and restoration of a stream. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing crossings, replacement with new properly sized crossings, backfilling and compaction of fill, rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion and bioengineering of the stream to be restored. Work for the two onstream ponds earthen embankment may consist of compaction or removal of fill, rock slope protection, installation of bypass structures, instruments, erosion control measures, and spillways.
