Document Description
The project is limited to 18 encroachments. Four encroachments are for water diversion from unnamed tributaries to Redwood Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use only in POD #1. The onstream pond diversion is for recreational use and fire prevention storage only. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Point of diversions # 2,3, & 4 will be decommissioned by removing cement cistern and other intake infrastructure. Irrigation for this parcel is from same landowner’s adjacent parcel’s well located at Lat/Long 40.925732/-123.7768 APN 316-085-001. The 13 other proposed encroachments are to decommission or upgrade failing and undersized stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing crossings, replacement with new properly sized crossings, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. Implementation of all projects shall occur during a work window for breeding birds from July 10 – October 15.
