- The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed LSAA No.1600-2019-0461-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Modesto Olea. The project consists of six encroachment(s): Three encroachments are for water diversion from hydrologically connected ponds located on unnamed tributaries to Kinsey Creek and Mattole Canyon Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use and irrigation. Work for these projects will include facility retrofit, use, and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Three proposed encroachments are to upgrade the spillways of one hydrologically connected rainwater catchment pond and two spring-fed ponds. Work for these projects will include excavation, fill recontouring, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
