Document Description
The project is limited to three encroachments. One encroachment will decommission and remediate a campsite and access road that impact a spring, stream, and bog; proposed work includes grading, scarifying, mulching, and seeding with appropriate vegetation. Another encroachment will decommission and remediate a legacy cultivation area and access road, and restore the affected stream and riparian area; proposed work includes recontouring the bed, bank, channel, and setback areas using native fill materials to restore original morphology, and mulching and seeding with appropriate vegetation. The final encroachment will upgrade failing road conditions and remediate legacy cultivation activities to eliminate or minimize erosion and sediment delivery to the affected stream; proposed work includes removal of the legacy-fill, backfilling and compaction of engineered-fill to prevent downcutting, rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion, and mulching and seeding with appropriate vegetation.
