Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0311-R 1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mr. Dimo Folev. The project is limited to six (6) encroachments. Encroachment 1 is for water diversion (POD 1) for domestic use from an unnamed tributary to Salmon Creek. Work for the water diversion will include excavation and removal of an existing 24” diameter concrete cistern, and replacement with a 12” diameter, 18 ” deep spring box, and use and maintenance of water diversion infrastructure. Encroachment 2 is for water diversion (POD 2) for irrigation purposes from a pond hydrologically connected to an unnamed tributary to Salmon Creek, and will include use and maintenance of water diversion infrastructure. Encroachment 3 includes construction of an armored spillway for the existing pond. Encroachment 4 consists of replacement of an existing 18” diameter perched culvert with a new 24” diameter culvert. Encroachment 5 consists of repair of an erosion gully near a ditch relief culvert on the road, at the top of a Class III stream. Headcut areas will be armored with large rock. Encroachment 6 consists of earthwork adjacent to POD 1, including relocation of water tanks, excavation of a small volume of over-steepened fill, and rock armoring of an old failed pond berm to prevent erosion.
