- The project is limited to 1 encroachment (Table 1 ). The encroachment covers the removal of water diversion infrastructure, over 10,000 square feet of stream restoration, including connected wetlands, and installation of an appropriate stream crossing. Work for the stream crossing will include excavation, removal of the undersized culvert, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill , and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. Work for removing the water diversion infrastructure will involve complete removal of all waterlines, spring boxes and other materials. Work for the stream restoration shall be completed pursuant to a CDFW-approved restoration plan. The Notification discloses the use of a well located at lat./long.: 40.0684, -123.6275. CDFW did not evaluate hydraulic connection of the well to surface water, nor was a hydrogeologic evaluation prepared by a licensed geologist provided for CDFW review.
