Document Description
The project is limited to five encroachments. One encroachment is for water diversion from a stream below an onstream pond. Water is diverted for domestic use and irrigation. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. The four other proposed encroachments will upgrade existing road/stream crossings and modify two pond impoundment structures to provide bypass flows for impounded water within the ponds. Culvert replacement, lowering of the spillway, or decommissioning of the two ponds will be evaluated based on the requested biological assessment and guidance from the Regional and State Waterboards. Work for these encroachments may include excavation, removal of culverts, replacement with new culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
