Document Description
The project is limited to six (6) encroachments. One (1) encroachment is to upgrade a native surface ford to a rocked ford. Work for this encroachment will include excavating fill within the crossing and backfilling with appropriately sized angular rock. Four (4) encroachments are to install new culverts. Work for these encroachments will include excavation of fill within the crossing, installation of new properly sized culverts, raising of the road surface to account for the culvert (Crossing 2 and 3), backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. Two (2) of these encroachments (Crossings 3 and 4) will also require the re-establishment of the channel downstream of the crossing to ensure the stream reconnects with the historic flow route. One (1) encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to Little Larabee Creek. Water is diverted for irrigation. Work for the water diversion will include removal of the plastic sheeting within the channel, installation of a 12-inch diameter cistern, and use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure.
