Document Description
The project is limited to seventeen encroachments. One encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to Sonoma Creek. Water is diverted for irrigation. A second encroachment is to decommission a pond and restore a channel impacted by unpermitted grading. The grading, which occurred in a wetland, will be remediated by removing the pond and realigning the channel to its natural alignment. The fifteen other proposed encroachments are to upgrade failing and undersized culverts. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, stream crossing decommissioning, backfilling and compaction of fill , and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
