Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0331-R1 , pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mr. Reuben Valdivia. The project is limited to one encroachment. Encroachment 1 is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to Blue Slide Creek for hydroelectric generation. Water is diverted using a screened redwood box and flows through a 2" diameter pipe reduced to two 1" diameter pipes for approximately 650 feet, where it passes through nozzles onto a turbine motor, is captured in a bucket, and then outlets through a 2" pipe into Blue Slide Creek. The diversion is nonconsumptive but affects the flow in the stream for the length of the diversion. Work for the water diversion will include modification, use, and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure, and work necessary to bring the diversion into compliance with this Agreement.
