- The 2 proposed encroachments are to upgrade 1 failing and undersized culvert and maintenance of both crossings. Work for crossing 3 will include excavation, removal of the failed culvert, replacement with a new properly sized culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill , and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. The Notification also discloses the use of a well located at Lat/Long 40.8820, -123.7799. This well is presented as the sole source of water for all needs on the property. CDFW did not evaluate hydraulic connection of the well to surface water, nor was a hydrogeologic evaluation prepared by a licensed geologist provided for CDFW review. Other disclosed features of interest include a rain catchment pond above crossing 15 and a spring overflow pond below crossing 15, where no diversion or work is proposed
