Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0193-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Ms. Michele Walker. The project is limited to six (6) encroachments. One (1) encroachment is for water diversion from Woods Creek, and one (1) encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to the Mattole River. Water is diverted for domestic use and irrigation. Work for the water diversions will include use and maintenance of water diversion infrastructure and work necessary to bring the diversions into compliance with the Agreement. The three (3) other proposed encroachments are to upgrade stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of one old culvert, installation of new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
