Document Description
The project is limited to four encroachments associated with Humboldt County Application Nos. 12561 and 12999. POD-A and POD-B are existing water diversions from unnamed tributaries to Blue Slide Creek. Water will be gravity fed to 80,000 gallons of storage. No water will be diverted from either POD from April 1 through October 30 of each year except for 200 gallons per day per PODs site. Water is diverted and stored for domestic and irrigation. Work for both water diversions will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Crossing No. 1 is upgrading an existing dirt ford with a rocked ford. Crossing No. 2 involves replacing an existing culvert with a larger culvert on an unnamed tributary. Work will include excavation, removal of the failing culvert, replacement with new properly sized culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill , and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
