Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0695-R1 , pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Steve Dodge. The project consists of 11 encroachment(s): Two encroachments are for water diversion from Class II tributaries to Buck Mountain Creek. Work for both diversions will include removal of infrastructure and restoration of the stream channel. Three encroachments are for hydrologically connected ponds. No work is proposed for Pond-1. Work for Pond-2 will consist of pond removal and stream restoration. Work for Pond-3 will consist of rocking the pond overflow spillway. Three encroachments include upgrading undersized culverts. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of existing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. One encroachment is to upgrade a road stream crossing with no infrastructure. Work for this crossing will include rock armoring. Two other proposed encroachments include decommissioning of road stream crossings. Work for these encroachments will include road fill excavation, recontouring, spoils dispersal and stabilization.
