Hurst Water Diversion and Stream Crossings Project (Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0764-R1)

The project is limited to three (3) encroachments. One encroachment is for water diversion from unnamed tributaries to Larabee Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use and irrigation. Work for the water diversion will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. The two other encroachments are to retroactively permit two existing, unlined ponds that receive surface water. Water diversion is not proposed from these ponds. Work for these pond encroachments will include installation or modification of spillways to maintain at least two feet of freeboard and ensure the spillways are designed to accommodate a 100-year storm event The Permittee subsequently disclosed a cattle guard class Ill stream crossing at 40.47388, -123.75125 that provides adequate drainage for the stream at this location. Installation and maintenance of this stream crossing is not covered under this Agreement and if any instream maintenance (such as armoring) and/or replacement is necessary that work will need to be covered under an amendment or a separate agreement. Additionally, the Permittee has disclosed two off-channel lined rainwater catchment ponds located at 40.4732, -123.7504 and 40.4731, -123.7500.
