- Document Description
- The project consists of 8 encroachments: One encroachment is for water diversion from unnamed tributary to Thompson Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use and irrigation. Work for the water diversion will include the removal of the diversion infrastructure from the on-stream pond and installation of a concrete cistern upstream of the on-stream pond. Work for the water diversion will also include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Three of the proposed encroachments are to upgrade failing and undersized culverts. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the failing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. One proposed encroachments is to decommission an abandoned stream crossing on Thompson Creek. Work for the decommissioning will include pulling the perched fill on the southern approachback to the cut bank and re-contouring the native slope per specifications given in the Notification.
