- The project is limited to 7 encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed spring tributary to the Mattole River. Water gravity fed from a wooden spring box through poly-pipe to storage for domestic use only. A second encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed spring. Water is diverted from a small pool through poly-pipe to storage for cannabis cultivation. A third encroachment is for relocation and improvement of an overflow for an existing rain catchment and storage pond. The overflow will be reposition in order to permanently disconnect the rain catchment pond from a class II watercourse. A fourth encroachment is to perform maintenance of an engineered channel in order to prevent overtopping and resulting erosion and sediment deposition. A fifth encroachment is to replace a failing 32 inch culvert with a minimum 42 inch culvert. A sixth encroachment is install a minimum 42 inch culvert in a class II watercourse. A seventh encroachment is to remove an existing ditch runoff system that is delivering sediment to a class II watercourse in order to prevent sediment deposition. The Permittee has disclosed the construction of a new non-jurisdictional rain catchment pond. Work for the water diversion and culverts will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Work for the culverts will include use and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. Work for the culverts and overflow could include excavation, removal of the failing culverts, and replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
