DPR proposes to remove the non-historic Benbow Dam to facilitate fish passage and improve habitat for aquatic species, including Coho, Chinook and Steelhead in the South Fork of the Eel River in Benbow Lake State Recreation Area in southern Humboldt County, northwestern California; approximately 70 road miles south of Eureka and 2 miles south of Garberville, CA.
