Document Description
The proposed Hamilton Hospital Assisted Living Facility project would rehabilitate and expand the former Hamilton Hospital to serve as a residential care facility for older adults. The proposed project would include demolition of the existing building (an addition) at the rear of the property, demolition of an addition on the west side of the hospital building, rehabilitation of the original hospital building, and construction of a new two- to three-story building addition. The facility is planned for 80 assisted living units for older residents requiring some assistance with daily living needs and those requiring 24-hour care and supervision in a memory care center (Alzheimer's and dementia treatment). There would be approximately 18 to 22 employees per shift.
