Document Description
The City of Menlo Park has adopted an all-new Environmental Justice Element and an updated Safety Element of its General Plan. The City has the Open Space/Conservation, Noise and Safety Elements in a combined document. The update focuses on the Safety Element; the Open Space/Conservation and Noise Elements are unchanged. Both elements were considered in a Final Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (Final SEIR) that was certified by the City on January 31, 2023. A Notice of Determination for that action was filed with the San Mateo County Clerk and the State Clearinghouse. Upon adopting the new Environmental Justice Element and updating the Safety Element, the City Council resolved that the elements were covered by the Final SEIR, and that none of the circumstances requiring a supplemental EIR or subsequent EIR as prescribed in CEQA Guidelines §15162 are present.
