Document Description
The City of Menlo Park has adopted amendments to its 6th Cycle Housing Element Update HEU in conformance with direction received from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). The HEU was the subject of a Final Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (Final SEIR) that was certified by the City on January 31, 2023. An addendum to the Final SEIR addressing subsequent modifications to the HEU was also adopted on December 5, 2023. Notices of Determination were filed for both actions with the San Mateo County Clerk and the State Clearinghouse. The conforming amendments adopted by the City Council on January 23, 2024 concerned procedural and monitoring requirements related to the City's implementation of the HEU, as required by HCD. Upon adopting the amendments, the City Council resolved that the proposed amendments to the HEU are also covered by the SEIR and the subsequent addendum, and that none of the circumstances requiring a supplemental EIR or subsequent EIR as prescribed in CEQA Guidelines §15162 are present.
