Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-RIV-16158-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) as represented by Ms. Jennifer Harriger. The Project is limited to the shutdown and dewatering event of the Lakeview Pipeline (Project). Dewatering is expected to begin March 11, 2021 and continue through March 13, 2021. Dewatering activities typically involve 1 to 2 crew members and staging of a utility truck with generator adjacent to a structure. Once flow into the pipeline has stopped, a crew will open valves at Station 2256+20 blowoff structure; water will flow from the blowoff structure via gravity through an underground pipe for approximately 75-feet before releasing through three concrete culverts onto a concrete apron for approximately 100-feet. Water will flow over the concrete apron into the San Jacinto River. Remaining water in the pipeline will be pumped through two six-inch flexible hoses and discharged onto the concrete apron.
