Document Description
The Proposed Project is a 1.241-MW ground-mounted, unmanned, solar photovoltaic power generation system that will generate electricity to serve the California DOT's Traffic Management Center, Park and Ride, and Southwest Regional Laboratory facilities. The PV power system would be built on an approximately 7.8-acre portion of the 35-acre parcel. Panels, including steel support structures, would be up to a maximum of 8 feet in height. The solar arrays would convert incident sunlight to direct current (DC) electrical power which would then be converted to alternating current (AC) by two centrally-located inverters before being delivered onsite buildings. An 8-foot security fence would be installed around each of the solar array blocks. Primary access for the solar arrays would be from Victoria Street using an existing driveway and drive aisle west.
