Document Description
The project is a Waiver Discharge Requirements for certain wastewater and residual solids discharges to land from small food processing operations, small wineries, and certain agricultural processing operations. A discharger regulated by the waiver could discharge of up to 1,000,000 gallons of process wastewater per year to irrigate crops or landscaped areas. The waiver would also regulate the use of the associated residual solids as a soil amendment on cropped or landscaped areas. The Waiver would renew a prior waiver (Order R5-2009-0097) and expands its applicability from a maximum allowable discharge of 100,000 to 1,000,000 gallons of wastewater per year and allows limited, short-term use on unlined ponds to contain wastewater from certain nut hulling operations.
