Document Description
Community Benefits Agreement for the Alexandria Center for Life Sciences. The City of Millbrae previously approved the Alexandria Center for Life Sciences project, which would result in the demolition of the existing light industrial buildings and associated improvements and redevelopment of the project site with a life science campus consisting of four buildings and a parking structure. The four buildings would include three commercial laboratory buildings and an amenity building. The Community Benefits Agreement and contribution are required through Condition of Approval No. 65, which requires the project applicant and the City to enter into a Community Benefits Agreement that specifies full satisfaction of the community benefit obligation of the Project through payment of $1,478,649.23 to the City Affordable Housing Fund. A CEQA Analysis (including Errata thereto) was prepared for the Alexandria Center for Life Sciences Project that confirmed that the project was within the scope of the evaluation within the MSASP FEIR and no new impacts were identified and no new mitigation measures are required, and an NOD was posted on December 14,2021. The City subsequently determined based on the CEQA Analysis that the Community Benefits Agreement likewise is within the scope of the evaluation within the MSASP FEIR and no new impacts were identified and no new mitigation measures are required.
