Document Description
Note: Refer to MND Submitted on 08/22/2014
The proposed project would install a new 12-inch diameter water distribution line and construct a 0.5 MG water storage tank at the Tank 9 site. An existing 8-inch water line between the existing Tank 9 and Wells 14 and 9 will remain in place and serve as a dedicated line to fill the new tank in order to achieve chlorine contact time and enable the Agency to provide better quality water to the consumers served by the County Service Area (CSA) #3 / Water Improvement District (WID) #7 system. The proposed water pipeline would convey water from the proposed new water storage tank at the Tank 9 Site pas Well No. 14 to connect to the existing local distribution system. The new storage tank would replace the substandard and problematic redwood water storage tank located at the Tank 9 Site that was constructed in the early 1970s.
