Sunset/Huntington Harbour Maintenance Dredging and Waterline Installation Project

The County of Orange (herein County or OC Parks) and the City of Huntington Beach (herein City) are responsible for the proposed Maintenance Dredging and Waterline Installation project components. The County is responsible for maintenance dredging actions within the Sunset Aquatic Marina area and the Main Channel between the Pacific Coast Highway Bridge and Warner Avenue. As such, approval to allow dredging for navigational purposes (Maintenance Dredging) would be responsible of the County. The installation of a 14-inch-diameter waterline pipe within the Harbour (both in-water and landside) would be the responsibility of the City. The proposed landside activities associated with the Waterline Installation component of the project would involve connecting the waterline pipe to existing utility infrastructure and construction staging activities on either side of the Harbour channel. Access to the Harbour would be unchanged by the project, i.e. access would continue to be provided from Sunset Way East and Edinger Avenue to the north, Warner Avenue to the south, Saybrook Lane to the east, and the Pacific Coast Highway to the southwest.
