Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of a new 24-inch transmission main from the Soquel Creek Pump Station to the existing discharge in Clares Road, just west of Wharf Road. The new transmission main will be made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and will be approximately 1,200 linear feet long. Approximately 860 feet will be constructed using horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation methods and 340 linear feet will be constructed using traditional open trench methods. An additional 70 linear feet of new 30-inch gravity pipeline will be installed using open trench construction methods in Clares Street. The pipeline will run for approximately 60 feet under Soquel Creek, approximately 40 feet below the bed of the creek. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2014-0224-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Rachel Lather, Santa Cruz Sanitation District.
