Document Description
The Soquel Pump Station Force Main Replacement Project involves the installation of a new force main underneath Soquel Creek in Capitola, California between Wharf Road and Bay Avenue. The existing 27-inch force main crossing was constructed in 1977 and if deterioration were to occur in the Soquel Creek transmission main, it could have an adverse effect on the environment. The new force main would be installed from the Soquel Pump Station to the existing sanitary sewer pipeline in Clares Street and will be installed using a combination of trenchless and open trench construction methods to replace the deteriorated transmission main. The project also includes various mechanical upgrades to the Soquel Pump Station to enhance the operational reliability of the pump station. The project will take approximately 5.5 months to complete.
